Attractive compensation and benefits

We offer a compensation system that combines salary and attractive social benefits:

  • 13th salary for employees and apprentices: our employees and apprentices receive a salary over 13 months. The 13th salary is paid in two instalments, in June and December.
  • Bonus: our bonus system recognises and rewards our talented employees.
  • Health insurance for the entire family: we offer health insurance packages with special rates, for our employees and their family.
  • Pension fund with above-average benefits: our pension fund provides benefits above and beyond the legal requirements in order to increase future retirement pensions.
  • Full loss of earnings coverage: in the event of illness or accident, employees continue to receive their full salary during their recovery.
  • Increased family allowance: for employees who receive cantonal family allowances in their own name, Groupe Mutuel contributes a supplement of CHF 125 per month and per child (on a pro rata basis).

Balance between professional and private life

Our employees’ satisfaction is key to their commitment to the company. That is why we do everything we can to make it easier for them to reconcile professional and private life.

  • Flexible and annualised working hours: employees are able to organise their working hours according to their personal and professional obligations.
  • Home office: we offer the possibility of working from home or at another Groupe Mutuel location, up to 50% of the employment rate but no more than two days per week.
  • Flexibility between locations: we encourage mobility between our different company locations. This means that everyone can choose to work occasionally from a location other than the one to which they are attached.
  • “A la carte” holidays: employees can choose the weekly pattern that suits them best: four, five or six weeks of holiday per year. Need a few extra days? It is also possible to buy up to five extra days.
  • Maternity and paternity leave: when a child is born, parents employed at Groupe Mutuel receive 16 weeks’ maternity leave or three weeks’ paternity leave.
  • Health: our self-service cafeterias offer a wide range of beverages and fruit. We also encourage people to take up sports, with attractive discounts from our partners and access to LeClub offers.

  • Skills development: we offer training, both in-house and externally depending on the organisation’s need, to facilitate career development and promote employability.
  • Mobility within the company: thanks to the variety of professions represented in our company, it is possible to advance one’s career or even change career path. We support these initiatives in order to ensure the professional development of our staff.
  • A high-quality environment: through a system of objectives and performance appraisals, dialogue and feedback are encouraged. Groupe Mutuel also places a high priority on ensuring that everyone's tasks are clearly communicated, as well as maintaining a friendly and respectful working environment.
  • Integration of apprentices: young people undergoing training are supervised by seasoned professionals. They benefit from a variety of learning opportunities in various departments, as well as preparation courses for the CFC exams. Thanks to these training measures, we have a 95% success rate in federal examinations. What’s more, apprentices who wish to continue working with us after having obtained their CFC diploma can apply for higher-level or specialised positions from their first job onwards.
